The Howard Property Group’s investment portfolio has seen some significant growth in recent years. The relocation of the Company’s headquarters to Cambridge in late 2005 provided the catalyst for securing further investments aimed at meeting the company’s strategic target of a £150m portfolio. The emergence of the Group’s development arm has given further opportunity for growth as completed developments may be acquired by the investment portfolio. With experienced asset management in house, together with financial strength and liquidity, the division is well placed to achieve its growth targets over the coming years.
The property portfolio provides the solid bedrock for the Howard Group of Companies and remains the major contributor to the overall size and value of the Group. The company continues to pursue its strategy to acquire and manage property predominantly within the commercial sector.
Any sizeable property portfolio requires intensive and careful management. With over 1 million square foot of properties occupied by some 250 tenants, the demands and challenges are considerable. To this end, Howard Property Services has been formed to look after the portfolio and its occupants. The in-house management team of 4 individuals are responsible for general asset management, professional Landlord and Tenant work as well as maintenance of the fabric of the estate. This management focus enables us to become closer to our tenants and understand their needs more fully.
