RAYNHAM ROAD PRE-LET COMPLETED

December 2009

Edmundson Electrical Ltd has agreed terms on a new unit at Raynham Road Industrial Estate, Bishops Stortford.

The letting is part of a major redevelopment of the Estate by HPG Developments. Phase 1 of the scheme will consist of new industrial units totalling 12,180 sq ft with plans to develop a further 40,500 sq ft in the future.

Edmundson Electrical has taken a 15 year lease on a new 5,980 sq ft building which HPG Developments will start construction of during the first quarter of 2010.

WERRINGTON CENTRE REDEVELOPMENT MOVES CLOSER

Following Peterborough City Council planners approval for redevelopment plans to the Werrington Centre in Peterborough, the S.106 Agreement for the development has now been approved by Tesco, the City Council and the Howard Group.

The refurbishment of the Centre, which includes a new 75,000 sq ft Tesco superstore, a pub/restaurant, additional retail units and new public spaces, is part of the initial phase of comprehensive proposals by HPG Developments, the development arm of the Howard Group based in Cambridge.

MAJOR WEST LONDON SITE SOLD FOR DEVELOPMENT

The Howard Group in Cambridge has concluded a major transaction in Hounslow for residential and commercial development.  

The 6.5 acre site was the home of the former Lascar Works factory where Beldam Lascar Seals Ltd traded since 1889. Chairman of the Company, Cambridge-based Richard Wright, has been working with the Howard Group over the past three years on this complex project. RAYNHAM ROAD SCHEME GETS GO AHEAD

HPG Developments has been successful in securing planning approval for the redevelopment of part of its Raynham Road Industrial Estate in Bishops Stortford.

The company recently demolished two redundant industrial units on the Estate in preparation for the new development of ten B1/B2/B8 industrial warehouse units with associated offices, parking and new landscaping.

GROUP ACHIEVES DOUBLE PLANNING SUCCESS

The Howard Group have been successful with two planning applications this month; the Werrington Centre in Peterborough and St John's Retail Park in Bedford. The Cambridge-based property Group owns and manages both sites.

HAVERHILL SITE DEMOLITION ON SCHEDULE

The Howard Property Group, who bought a prominent 6.5 acre commercial site in Haverhill in September last year, are now well under way with demolition of the redundant buildings.

The site, which fronts the main A143 through the centre of the town and just along from the Haverhill Leisure Centre redevelopment, was previously occupied by manufacturer Project Office Furniture.

MCKEOWNS PURCHASE SECOND UNIT AT KNOWLHILL

HPG Developments reports the sale of a further office unit to McKeowns Solicitors on its Newton Court development at Knowlhill, Milton Keynes.  

McKeowns Solicitors, who in December 2007 were first to buy one of the six units available on the 2 acre development, have embarked on a major expansion programme and purchased the adjoining unit, increasing their current accommodation by 100%. HPG Developments, part of the Howard Property Group, has purchased 2.35 acres of development land in Stevenage, from the £1.8 billion Arlington Business Parks Partnership fund (ABPP), which is managed by international property group Goodman.
