HPG Developments reports the sale of a further office unit to McKeowns Solicitors on its Newton Court development at Knowlhill, Milton Keynes.
McKeowns Solicitors, who in December 2007 were first to buy one of the six units available on the 2 acre development, have embarked on a major expansion programme and purchased the adjoining unit, increasing their current accommodation by 100%. The new unit was sold for £610,000, raising McKeowns occupation to 5,700 sq ft of office space in the building. Currently two further units have sold with the two remaining units on the market through local agents Douglas Duff and Bidwells.
The development of 12,000 sq ft of high quality open plan office space was a design and build project by HPG Developments of Cambridge. The site also houses a 20,000 sq ft warehouse which was pre-sold to PACE Europe, part of international electronics group, PACE Worldwide.
McKeown Solicitors Managing Director Diarmuid McKeown comments: "We are delighted to enhance our national presence by expanding our services in Milton Keynes. The office was first established a year ago to reduce staff commuting hours from Buckinghamshire to our head office in St Albans. We also realised the potential for reducing our corporate carbon footprint. Our legal team at Knowlhill will continue to offer unrivalled expertise in personal injury and employment law to businesses and individuals across the South East of England."
Reporting on the latest sale, Michael Summers, Director at the Howard Property Group, said. "We are delighted McKeowns have decided to purchase the adjoining Unit 1. When they purchased the first unit, they were quick to see the potential and long term investment value of owning business premises. The new purchase will effectively give them a self contained unit allowing maximum flexibility for their future expansion programme in this very vibrant business area of central Milton Keynes."
