HOWARD GROUP RECEPTION

Fitzwilliam Museum 25th November 2008

The Howard Group of Cambridge hosted a reception for 150 guests at the Fitzwilliam Museum to celebrate the official launch of HPG Developments, the Group's commercial development division. The new division has been established to manage development schemes for out-of-town retail, office, industrial and mixed-use. Several new projects are already well underway around East Anglia. The company is currently acquiring sites with long term development potential.

The Group also used the event to present training awards to three world-class Leander Club athletes. In 2006, the Howard Group announced a five year programme of financial assistance for Leander oarsmen and women to support them in the run up to the London 2012 Olympic Games.   To date, the Company has assisted four athletes who have been identified as having the potential to break into the GB team. One of these athletes, Lou Reeve who attended the function, competed in two Olympic finals at the recent Olympics in Beijing.

Those receiving awards at the Fitzwilliam event were Jane Hall, Tommy Burton and Tom Broadway.   The reception was addressed by Group chairman Martin Riley and Managing Director, Nicholas Bewes.
