Progressing towards a stronger future

Overview

The Howard Group of companies is a privately owned organisation which can trace its beginnings back to the early 1930s. There is still today a strong sense of this history and the rich legacy which flows from this throughout the business. The company is currently owned the third generation of the Howard family who are closely involved in the business. Over recent years, the company has changed, grown significantly and since the relocation from Bedford in 2005, is becoming known as a major regional property business.

Commercial property represents the primary focus of the Group. The company's early growth back in the 1930s and 1940s was forged by the entrepreneurial spirit of its Founder - Mr CAEC Howard. This spirit of innovation and diversity is central to the future growth of the company, Howard Capital Partners; the growth capital division has been established to pursue investment opportunities outside our normal sphere of commercial property.

The vision for the Group, its employees and shareholders is to foster and nourish this legacy and continue this dynamic and successful business for generations to come.

The Group's operations can be segmented into 3 main areas of activities, these are:
  • Property Investment: Management and growth of the Group's property portfolio aimed at delivering the company's strategic objectives and securing strong income streams from a mix of high quality tenantslocated typically in the east of England.
  • Property Development: Delivery of a development portfolio to produce trading income and provide a potential stream of investment properties. The Group has over 20 years experience in property development and a portfolio that includes retail parks, industrial estates, distribution warehouse units, mixed-use and office developments.
  • Structured Growth Capital: Managed by Howard Capital Partners, established in 2005 to acquire equity stakes in mid-sized businesses. The Howard team works alongside management teams to enhance performance and deliver healthy returns on equity.
