Launched in 2006, Howard Sandcliffe Investments (HSi) is a partnering arrangement between The Howard Group and Sandcliffe Investments. The principal intention of this business is to operate as active investors providing growth capital to businesses within specific sectors.

The team was originally formed with the objective to acquire mid-sized, established businesses that are profitable and run by an experienced management team. There are many established companies which are outside the investment scope of many traditional private equity organisations. Target companies have frequently found it difficult to source venture funding and secure viable exit routes for shareholders. With access to over £40m of investment capital via the Howard Group, other leading finance institutions and banks, HSi invests in well established small to medium-sized businesses, typically valued around £5m-£10m.
