Howard Capital Partners is the corporate venturing arm of the Howard Group of companies. Together with our partners, we invest in businesses to add value and achieve healthy returns on equity. We accomplish this by providing clear strategic focus, sound advice and leadership expertise. We have expert knowledge of the markets, excellent networks of contacts and enjoy healthy relationships with senior debt providers.

Partnerships have been at the heart of the Howard Group's growth and development since its formation in the 1930s. Our expertise in developing effective partnerships has been built up over many years of trading and investment. We have specialist management teams, partners and consultants - all experienced in this field who are working with us to grow and enhance this increasingly important area of our Group.

Currently our investment activities may be described as follows:

• Minority investment
  Capital is invested in exchange for an issue of shares, typically between 5-50%. Howard Capital Partners often provides support through Non Executive Directorships and works closely with existing management teams. Usually these businesses will be relatively early-stage although unlikely to be pure start-ups. Exit strategies are generally sought within 5 years of initial investment.
  
  
• Controlling investment
  Working with our partners, Sandcliffe Investments, we look for businesses where principals are wishing to extract value but have strong second tier management teams to continue growing the business. Howard Capital Partners and their associates will require a majority shareholding. We will work as active investors in businesses to drive growth and profitability towards a defined exit.
