Cambridge based Howard Group's building services companies engaged on local projects

A T Jones and Fenland Roofing have recently completed a project working for Sawston contractors Morgan Ashurst on a new 330 sq m science wing for Sawston Village College. Fenland Roofing has installed a 10-year guarantee single ply roofing system whilst A T Jones have been involved with the interior fit out, including specialist spray plastering. Both companies completed the project on schedule.

Howard Sandcliffe Investments (HSi), the partnership between the Howard Group of Cambridge and Sandcliffe Investments, Milton Keynes, has acquired Great Shelford company Fenland Flat Roofing.

The deal is in line with HSi's strategy to develop a Group of businesses operating within the building services sector.The acquisition, completed recently complements other purchases by HSi within the building subcontracting sector.This latest transaction for HSi means that the combined turnover of the Group is now almost £40m delivering annual profits in excess of £6.5m.

Howard Sandcliffe Investments (HSI), the partnership between the Howard Group and Sandcliffe Investments, has completed the acquisition of Hemel Hempstead fit out company Adex Interiors.

HOWARD SANDCLIFFE ACQUIRES BUILDING PRODUCTS GROUP IN £4.4M DEAL

Howard Sandcliffe has acquired A T Jones & Son Limited of Fareham, a specialist supplier of dry lining and high value suspended ceiling solutions. The business supplies partitioning systems into major construction projects such as hospitals, schools and office schemes and lists many of the UK's major contractors as its clients.

The transaction, valued at £4.3 million, is the first deal for Howard Sandcliffe, formed during 2006, a joint venture with The Howard Group and Sandcliffe Investments. Funding was provided by Bank of Scotland, Cambridge. Howard Sandcliffe was advised by Mazars Corporate Finance and Hewitsons solicitors.

Howard Sandcliffe was launched last year, a joint venture between The Howard Group and Sandcliffe Investments, a private equity investment team run by two former PWC partners. Howard Sandcliffe was set up to provide venture capital finance and has embarked upon an exciting programme of company acquisitions.

The division has access to over £40m of investment funds and is looking to identify and invest in well established small to medium-sized businesses.

A T Jones, an HSi investment and one of the UK's leading fit out companies, has opened offices in London, Bristol and Cardiff.

The firm, which has been in the fit out business for more than 30 years, now has operational centres in four locations in the UK plus its headquarters in Fareham, Hampshire.
