ATJ COMPLETES ASHMOLEAN PROJECT

AT Jones of Fareham, a Howard Sandcliffe invested company, has completed a major £3 million contract for the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford.

New Investment Manager for HSi

In line with HSi's growth strategy the investors have appointed an Investment Manager - Charlie Rickard.

Charlie's role will focus around providing financial support to the HSi investors for current and future HSi investments.  More specifically Charlie's role will include identifying new opportunities, internal due diligence, managing the transaction process, integrating new businesses into HSi, supporting management and investors to maximise value, managing investment exits, developing and continually improving financial reporting and controls.

HSi has bucked the recent severe downturn in the industry by posting a substantial increase in turnover. In 2005 HSi delivered turnover of some £5 million. Turnover now exceeds £40 million with profits of around £7 million.

A T Jones, an HSi investment and one of the UK's leading fit out companies, has opened offices in London, Bristol and Cardiff.

The firm, which has been in the fit out business for more than 30 years, now has operational centres in four locations in the UK plus its headquarters in Fareham, Hampshire. Cambridge based Howard Group's building services companies engaged on local projects

A T Jones and Fenland Roofing have recently completed a project working for Sawston contractors Morgan Ashurst on a new 330 sq m science wing for Sawston Village College. Fenland Roofing has installed a 10-year guarantee single ply roofing system whilst A T Jones have been involved with the interior fit out, including specialist spray plastering. Howard Sandcliffe Investments (HSi), the partnership between the Howard Group of Cambridge and Sandcliffe Investments, Milton Keynes, has acquired Great Shelford company Fenland Flat Roofing.

Howard Sandcliffe has acquired A T Jones & Son Limited of Fareham, a specialist supplier of dry lining and high value suspended ceiling solutions. The business supplies partitioning systems into major construction projects such as hospitals, schools and office schemes and lists many of the UK's major contractors as its clients.

The transaction, valued at £4.3 million, is the first deal for Howard Sandcliffe, formed during 2006, a joint venture with The Howard Group and Sandcliffe Investments. Funding was provided by Bank of Scotland, Cambridge. Howard Sandcliffe was advised by Mazars Corporate Finance and Hewitsons solicitors.
